"Eight bells — and all's well."
Traditional Naval Watch Cry

For centuries, ship's bells kept sailors in sync across the open ocean. Ship's Clock brings that living tradition to your iPhone, Android phone or browser — beautifully.

📘   The History

How Ship's Bell Time Works.

A ship's bell marks watch time every 30 minutes. The count rises through each four-hour watch and reaches Eight Bells — the watch's end.

🔔
The Bell Code
At :30 you hear odd bells (1, 3, 5, 7). At :00 you hear even bells (2, 4, 6, 8).

Your iPhone, Now a Ship’s Clock
“This app nails atmosphere. Ship’s Clock isn’t just a timekeeper, it’s an experience. The authentic bell chimes every half hour, the live weather and moon phases, and the subtle lighthouse animations make your phone feel like a captain’s quarters.”
Delphic Epsilon · App Store · May 2026
“I’ve been waiting for a replacement for the obsolete Weems & Plath. This is much nicer with much more functionality. Other similar apps don’t even come close to this one. Bell sounds are great! Timing/striking is spot on.”
Bob D. · Google Play · May 2026
“Much more trouble-free than the other apps I’ve tried. I ordinarily always go with “FREE” apps but I rely on ship’s bell to regulate my life so this was $5 very well spent.”
Doug R. · Google Play · July 2026
